Terza puntata con i migliori ristoranti Table Service nei parchi di Walt
Disney World. Se vi siete persi i primi due, potete leggere l’articolo su
Magic Kingdom e quello sugli Hollywood Studios.
Oggi andiamo ad EPCOT, ed ancora una volta ci concentriamo sui ristoranti
Table Service, ovvero i ristoranti tradizionali, con servizio al tavolo.
EPCOT offre una vasta scelta di ristoranti Table Service, se consideriamo
che ogni padiglione del World Showcase ne ospita almeno uno. La scelta
della top 3 non è facile, ma spero concorderete con la mia lista! Partiamo
subito:

Ristorante Table Service nel padiglione Giapponese, Teppan Edo è qualcosa
di più di un semplice ristorante: avrete infatti il vostro cuoco privato
che cucinerà piatti della tradizione giapponese proprio davanti ai vostri
occhi, intrattenendovi con uno show culinario davvero strepitoso. In
realtà, questo tipo di ristorante non è raro negli USA - si chiama Hibachi- ma è ancora
difficile trovare posti come questo in Italia. Se siete amanti del Giappone
e volete provare piatti che vanno oltre al comune sushi (che comunque
troverete sul menù),, questo ristorante fa assolutamente per voi. Io vi
consiglio di provare una delle combinazioni (combinations sul menù),
solitamente due proteine che verranno cotte sotto i vostri occhi e servite
con verdure e riso. Il menù completo è

Data la specialità di questo ristorante, ricordatevi di prenotare il vostro
tavolo appena possibile, con 60 giorni in anticipo.
Oltre che alla foto d’obbligo, vi rimando ad un video che vi mostra
l’esperienza completa offerta dal ristorante. Se non vi piacciono gli

I prezzi per questo ristorante vanno dai $15 (per una singola pietanza) ai $40 per persona.
Questo ristorante è parte dei Dining Plan e vale 1 credito Table Service.
Perchè mi piace? Perché è un’esperienza unica, che intrattiene e fa
scoprire una cucina buona e tradizionale, allo stesso tempo.

Unico ristorante della lista che arriva da Future World (attendendo
l’apertura di Space 220!), Garden Grill è un ristorante molto particolare,
con pietanze tipicamente americane, servite family style (porzioni giganti
con una selezione fissa di pietanze, da dividere con tutta la famiglia
direttamente al vostro tavolo). Garden Grill è situato nel padiglione
dedicato alla terra (“The Land Pavilion”) ed oltre ad offrire meet and
greet con i personaggi Disney (potrete incontrare Cip e Ciop, Topolino
vestito da giardiniere ed a volte altri personaggi), la particolarità di
questo ristorante risiede nel fatto che molti dei prodotti che vi vengono
serviti, sono coltivati proprio nel padiglione. Infatti, durante la vostra
visita in “Living with the Land”, vedrete come Disney coltiva frutta e
verdura direttamente ad EPCOT e poi viene usata in diverse locations,
incluso questo ristorante.
Altra particolarità di questo ristorante: é costruito su una piattaforma
rotante, proprio sopra l’attrazione Living with the Land. Durante il vostro
pranzo/cena, la vostra visuale cambierà lentamente e avrete modo di vedere
diverse scene direttamente dall’attrazione!
Il menù di Garden Grill, come detto, è molto standard: troverete infatti
insalata verde, petto di tacchino, purè di patate, bistecca speziata
eccetera (menu completo qui).
Anche in questo ristorante viene servita la Yuengling, la birra più vecchia
di America, di cui ho parlato nel mio special sul cibo tradizionale
americano.
Perchè mi piace? Il cibo è senza fronzoli ma molto buono, l’atmosfera è molto festosa e divertente vedere il ristorante girare su se stesso!
Il prezzo è fisso a $55 per adulto, escluse bevande (e mancia).
Anche questo ristorante fa parte del Dining Plan, se ne avete uno.

Siamo di nuovo al World Showcase, questa volta in Canada. Le Cellier, che
significa “cantina” in francese, è considerato IL ristorante migliore di
EPCOT (quindi attenti alla prenotazione!). Oltre ad una carta dei vini
davvero eccezionale, e chiaramente bistecche di molti tipi (dato che è una
steakhouse), questo ristorante offre anche altri piatti tipicamente
canadesi, come il Poutine (patatine fritte servite con estrusi di
formaggio, salsa gravy e altre buonissime cose, tra cui bistecca e
riduzione di vino o stufato di manzo. Assolutamente da provare!

Perchè mi piace? Il cibo è eccezionale e alcune specialitá sono introvabili in altri posti. L’atmosfera è molto curata, anche se è leggermente per adulti. Sicuramente un valido candidato per una serata speciale!
Il prezzo varia dai $50 ai $70 per persona, escluse bevande (e mancia) ed è uno dei più costosi di EPCOT. Anche questo ristorante fa parte del Dining Plan, se ne avete uno, e vale 2 crediti Table Service per persona.
Scegliere solamente tre ristoranti ad EPCOT non è stato facile: la scelta è veramente estesa. Come non parlare dei due straordinari ristoranti Messicani, quello Marocchino e di tanti altri? Non preoccupatevi, descrizioni e commenti sugli altri ristoranti arriveranno presto!
